Introducing Rev. Maggie Sullivan

A brief letter from Rev. Maggie Sullivan introducing herself as St. Francis' new rector, beginning September 1, 2022.

Rev. Maggie Sullivan

I am so excited to be called to be the next rector of St. Francis! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your community and seeing where God leads us in ministry. I will be settling into Denham Springs in August and will begin serving full-time September 1st.

I was ordained to the priesthood six years ago, having been an educator and an active lay leader before attending Virginia Theological Seminary. I come to you from Southwest Florida where I served as associate rector for St. Mark's, Venice.

I enjoy exploring the great outdoors in my kayak or on foot and look forward to the many new opportunities southern Louisiana holds. I am a fan of the symphony, local theater productions, county fairs, and community festivals. I have two adult children, one precious granddaughter, and a cat named Mac.

I am grateful to your search committee and vestry for their faithful work. I look forward to joyful worship with you all and to finding those ways where together we can best serve God and our neighbor!

Blessings,

Rev. Maggie +
