DONATIONS NEEDED TO IMPROVE THE OUTDOOR CHAPEL:
Ryan Bishop has decided to make St. Francis the beneficiary of his Eagle Scout project. He plans to improve the outdoor chapel by making new benches and refurbishing the altar. $50 will cover the cost of materials and include a memorial or dedication plaque, but any amount is welcome. Checks should be made payable to St. Francis with “Eagle project” in the memo. Please pick up a donation form located on the back table of the church and include it with your payment. Contact Ryan or Robert Bishop at 916-2747 if you have any questions.

Registration is open for Happening #73. Happening is a youth-led spiritual formation weekend designed for high school teens. It is an amazing experience that changes the way you think about yourself and your faith.
Who can attend Happening? Happening is open to 9th through 12th grade teenagers of any denomination who have not participated in Happening in the past. If you have participated in Happening and would like to serve on staff you can email Cee Cee Picou at email@example.com
. You need not be Episcopalian to attend, however you must be committed to engage in theological reflection from a Christian perspective.
Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
The Fall ECW Baton Rouge Deanery meeting will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Innis. For more information, contact Judy Knecht @ 664-6261.
Please stay after church on Sunday, August 24th, to consider signing up for a ministry in one of the many areas of St. Francis life both within our parish family as well as in outreach to the community.
Dig Deeper into the Christian Faith, studying the Bible, Church history and theological ideas and reflect on connecting faith with life experiences.
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a four year program (September – May) of education for adults in the Church produced by the School of Theology of the University of the South. Several members are already entered into the program, and we would like to open the group to others of the parish who may be interested and who could join the current group. The group meets weekly and is guided by a mentor. This is a tuition based program. Please contact Paul Rumage for details.
